They say its all written!!! They say its all destiny!!! They say couples are made in Heaven!!! But then God must have had an excellent Couple_Management Software to manage Indian marriages. With the Mandal commission coming up with more than 3000 castes in India, the Perfect Match Making is becoming a tougher task day by day. Last night the all mighty came in my dreams and hired me for a consulting assignment on Indian_Marriage_Management.
So here goes my analysis:
The marriages in India are broadly classified into two categories. First, the caste based marriages -> the ones which are mostly arranged by parents and are an amalgamation of two families. Second, the modern trend of inter caste marriages -> the ones which seldom recieve the blessings of the families. Hence if we look at the marriage graph of the Indian society, it boils down to: Om Mangalam Mangalam can be caste-based or inter_caste, both in turn can be arranged or love_and_run.
If we follow the way it worked out earlier, it was primarily arranged and caste-based. But now with the trends changing, the divine community have their task cut out.
The existing Couple_Management_Software had the following input parameters:
Age: The guy should be older than the girl.
Religion: Of course the same.
Caste: Must be same.
Sub_Caste: Majorly must be the same, but some degree of fuzziness allowed.
Color: Majorly the girl should be fairer than the guy.
Mangalik Match: The mangalik rules should be followed without fail.
Education: The guy should be more educated than the girl.
Earnings: The guy should be earning more than his lady.
With the rules being so structured, the only function the software had was to generate a subset of couples and then do a random number generation to come up with a Destined Couple.
But with the inter caste barriers becoming fuzzy and with legends like Sachin Tendulkar bringing the age constraints to a halt, the task of making perfect matches is a billion dollar work.
In the era of online dating and 377 pairings, this uphill task will need a lot of data analysis and strategic management.
The assignment has to be submitted by 23:59:59 on 4th december. Will post the report when it is ready so that you all can better understand how your matches are to be formed :P
Till then .... HolD ur BreathS!!!
Signing Off ....
